Enter the Defias Hideout and follow the trail of homeless to the Deadmines dungeon. Enter the Deadmines dungeon and use the Incense Burner to see into the past.

    where do you use the incense. ive tried using it all over the deadmines and it will never take me to the past. is the dungeons a certain part or just do it at the begining. either way i cant get it to work

    The quest tracker will point you back to the entrance of the mines, but ignore it and continue on through till you come to what looks like a wind tunnel or portal, go inside and use the Incense Burner there.

    How about a map of the stinking mine so we can see where this supposed portal is?

    You have to go very far down the mine. Go down only those paths that have people in them. You will see a big swirling blue light. That is the entrance.
